My old work is still, I think, coming along very well, and it progresses every day with new ideas and the actions to compensate for them. Most of the main plot has remain unchanged, and still I am in the stage of constructing the true conflict of the tale.
My first story is one of fiction, of olden warriors in the times before humans were the only race to rule. A new war is emerging and alliances are made, others are broken. The elves currently hold the main role in the story, and soon the humans, as well as the enemy; the Kriv, will come into major play. There is a lot going on in this hopefully soon-to-be novel, dealing with might and magic, beasts and creatures, and good and evil.
My new idea has a completely different theme and story line. This tale takes place in the not-too-distant future, probably around 2100, but currently, the year is uncertain. In this society, not much has changed about the social class. However, war has risen to a new level, as well as government, and education. People's lives are mapped out for them, being studied since the day of conception. This story will follow a young man and his two brothers, all triplets, and their journey through life as it has been handed to them. Two of the brothers are to be soldiers, and the third, shall be something else, I do not yet know, but something solemn and bound by education and art. This vast difference in their life styles will lead to conflict, and the simple point that a war is taking place will bring the main character and his other war-befallen brother to a very critical point.
These are the gist of my two stories, and I will continue them both simultaneously.
Hopefully sometime soon I will be content enough to post something from them.
On another note, I have a tournament for Taekwondo tomorrow, and I will be entered in Form and Sparring. This is the 4th CMA, Chicago Martial Arts Tournament, and currently, I am the champion for my class for the past 3 years. I hope to make it 4 years tomorrow.
That's all for now!
